A significant part of the parish priest’s work revolves around the life of St John’s Primary, a one form entry school just half a mile down the road from the church.
The relationship between the church and the school is integral to our parish life.
School families have a strong link with the church.
The school visits the church on a regular basis; there are services held there at least once a term.
House captains and others are invited to attend Mothering Sunday and Remembrance Sunday, as well as the Year 6 leavers service in July.
Year 6 take it in turns to work at the parish lunch club once a fortnight, while Year 3 children help at the toddler group.
